Music X Arts: A Night in the Art Museum

Date:
24 May 2013
Venue:
Art Museum, CUHK
Description:

To cultivate younger generations’ interest in arts and culture, the Art Museum organized a special event entitled “Music X Arts: A Night in the Art Museum” on May 24. By incorporating music elements into arts, the museum hoped to raise young people’s interest in arts and embody the Art Museum’s attempt in developing younger audience bases.

To go with the spirit of the exhibition “Radiant Legacy: Ancient Chinese Gold from the Mengdiexuan Collection” and the golden jubilee of CUHK, the main decor and the dress code for the night was “GOLD”.

The event attracted around 80 students. Besides enjoying the music performances, participants also took pictures of their “golden” moment at the photo booth to compete for the awards: “Best Dressed Award”, “Party King” and “Party Queen” of the night.

Five performing groups, including student groups UC Band Society and Serrnin, alumni groups The Fat Jokers and La Sax, as well as masked singer Lung Siu-kwan, all gave their best to the audience. They also shared their fond memories of CUHK and their views on the theme “Gold”.
